Residence Hall Room Accommodations

Residence hall room assignments will be by gender unless a couple is married. Floors or wings will also be separated by gender. Rooms in Gessner and Irwin halls, the apartments and the New Living Center are $20 per person per night for a double. A single room in any location is $40 per night.

Administrators and counselors will receive a 50 percent discount.

The charge for lost access cards is $25 and the charge for room keys is $50. Campers need to bring their own linens and pillows.

Dining Options

The dining hall is available for groups of 60 people. The summer conference coordinator will coordinate with other camps to achieve this minimum. Dining hall prices are $21 per person per day. By meal, prices are breakfast $6, lunch $7 and dinner $8.

Yes, wireless Internet is available to guests who bring their own laptops.

Is campus security available?
Yes. The Baker University Campus Safety staff are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They can be contacted at 785.594.8430.

Can we supply our own caterer?

Is there an ATM on campus?
Yes, an ATM is located in the Student Union lobby.

Should I bring an alarm clock?
Baker does not offer a wake-up service. Guests are encouraged to bring necessary devices for their stay.

Are there laundry facilities in the halls?
Yes, laundry facilities are located in the basement and upper floors of each residence hall.

Can I smoke or drink on campus?
Baker University’s campus is an alcohol-free environment. Smoking is permitted outside of buildings.

When is housing available for conference groups?
Housing is available during the summer, usually from June 1 until July 31.

Can children be accommodated in the halls?
Children 10 and up can be housed in the residence halls. Only two people, including children, can reside in a residence hall room. Children under 10 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

What should I do if locked out of my room?

Do I need a liability insurance policy to cover my group when holding an event on Baker's campus?
It depends on the event. Some events, such as weddings, do not require insurance. Others, such as a family reunion, are covered by the host's home owner's policy. And others, such as special-interest camps, require liability insurance as spelled out in the facilities and equipment agreement.
