ADMISSION INFORMATION

Admission to Baker University's College of Arts and Sciences is dependent on readiness for the college experience. Readiness is determined by evidence of ability to do college work at Baker and an interest in acquiring a liberal arts education. Eligibility for admission is determined without regard to race, nationality, creed, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex. In most cases, freshman applicants with an ACT composite score of 21, or a 3.0 high school GPA will be admitted. Other applications will be evaluated on an individual basis. Transfer students must have attained a 2.3 cumulative college GPA.

To be considered for admission, students must submit:
1. A completed application.
2. A recommendation form completed by a guidance counselor or teacher.
3. An official high school transcript.
4. Test scores from either the American College Testing Program (ACT) or the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) should be sent either directly from the testing center or posted on transcripts from high school.

Recommended High School Curriculum:

A unit consists of one full school year of study in a subject area. Students intending to major in science, mathematics or engineering during college are encouraged to take four units of high school mathematics.
