We will build on our distinguished record with the first comprehensive capital campaign in the University's history, called Baker @ 150: Vision to Reality. This Campaign represents the beginning of a journey of renewal and transformation that will strengthen Baker's position as a first choice for students and maintain its high standing among peer institutions.

Baker @ 150: Vision to Reality includes a broad range of undertakings important to University-wide initiatives set to establish new strengths across disciplines. Initiatives include the renovation and addition to Mulvane Hall, transformation of Athletics facilities, scholarship support for students, support for faculty, and enhancement of endowed funds. This campaign presents opportunities to invest in our common future by participating in these areas and in many others as well.

Student Success: An accessible education has always been part of our mission. Scholarship support opens the doors to deserving students and eases their debt burden upon graduating. We want our undergraduates to focus on their education, not on how they will pay for it.

Faculty Achievement: The caliber of an academic institution rests upon the quality of its faculty. Faculty is attracted to those institutions best equipped to help them reach their professional goals and where they are most likely to be associated with the most exciting colleagues and peers. We seek to increase our endowed professorships, benefiting all of our departments and campuses.

Facilities Enhancement: While outstanding people make an institution, the places in which they do their work have a profound effect on their ability to be exceptional. There is a special joy that comes with exploring, researching and performing in fresh surroundings equipped with the latest technologies. Attractive, up-to-date buildings and campuses are essential recruitment tools, and essential tools for teaching and research in today's world.

Discretionary Support: Gifts to the Baker Fund provide tremendous flexibility for the University as we adapt to ever-changing needs and demands. This support sustains everything that makes Baker an extraordinary institution, including general infrastructure and operating expenses, students, faculty, new academic initiatives, research assistance and the purchase of books, collections, supplies and equipment.

This Campaign will be the impetus for unprecedented growth and renewal and will provide the resources essential to ensure our evolution into the model university for the 21st century.
