A Few Words From the VP Of University Advancement
Alumni and friends,
Welcome to the new Baker University Web site. I invite you to explore today and visit often!
Technology is a great enabler of discovery and here you will learn more about everything alumni, how to get involved through volunteer and philanthropic opportunities, and the bold (and sometimes subtle) difference your giving has on the Baker community. Learn more about alumni activities and events, and how your alumni association is working for you. Explore volunteer and mentor opportunities that advance the academic experience for students. Gain insights into a student, a faculty member and donors through our profiles and see how their involvement adds to the Baker experience. Discover the power of the Baker Fund and the life-changing impact of endowed scholarships and professorships. Investigate planned giving opportunities and how this form of giving may complement your overall retirement and philanthropic goals.
Although the Web is a great tool for sharing information and telling a story, it does not replace the peacefulness of walking the Baldwin City campus on a Saturday afternoon in October, attending an alumni gathering in your area, seeing a room full of students delight in an engaging conversation with a "professor-for-a-day" alumnus, or hearing the roar of the crowd as the Wildcats take the field. These and other experiences await you at Baker.
I welcome your feedback on how we can better serve your needs as alumni, donors, and friends - through this Web site, publications, and in person. Should you find yourself on the Baldwin City campus, I invite you to visit the Advancement Office in Room 18 of Constant Hall.
