Ottawa (2-7) inbounded the ball to Chase Dippel, but he couldn’t finish the contested jumper to send the game into double overtime. Dippel finished the game with 25 points.
Jordan Honore led all Baker scorers with 18 points on a 6-for-14 shooting performance from the floor.
Joe Wachter added four critical points in the overtime period, and finished the contest as the Wildcats only other player in double figures with 13 points.
The game itself was nearly dead even in every statistical category. Baker finished the contest 29-for-74 (39 percent) from the floor and 7-for-25 (28 percent) from beyond the arc. The Wildcats pulled down 49 rebounds in the contest while committing only 15 turnovers.
Ottawa finished the game 25-for-63 (39 percent) from the floor and 5-for-18 (28 percent) from beyond the arc. The Braves finished with 45 rebounds and 16 turnovers.
Baker will host Avila University on Dec. 1 in their first game of Heart of America Athletic Conference action. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m., in the George F. Collins Center.
