Baldwin City, Kan. — No. 2 seed MidAmerica Nazarene upended top-seeded Baker University 3-0 on Saturday in the Heart of America Athletic Conference volleyball championship at the Collins Center.
The Pioneers (28-7) defeated Baker (26-11) 25-18, 33-31, 25-20 to snap the Wildcats’ winning streak at 15 matches and receive the conference’s automatic berth in next week’s NAIA tournament.
Baker, which finished 9-0 in the HAAC during the regular season, hadn’t lost since Sept. 23. MidAmerica Nazarene has won six in a row since a 3-1 loss to Baker on Oct. 18.
