No. 2 Baker and No. 14 Benedictine set for HAAC semifinals showdown

Baker vs Benedictine HAAC Semi's

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Both teams knows there is no love lost when it comes to Baker vs Benedictine – especially in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Playoffs.

Baker (16-0-1) will look for a chance to play its way into the HAAC Championship game with a victory over the Ravens. The Wildcats are currently ranked second in the NAIA with 566 total points and one first place vote.

Benedictine (14-2-0) is currently ranked 14th nationally and would bolster its 2011 NAIA National Championship Playoff hopes with a victory over Baker.

Junior Odaine Sinclair leads the Wildcats with nine goals on the year. Senior Tom Lowndes leads the team overall with 25 points and 13 assists.

HAAC Defensive Player of the Year Matt Bickley has been the story though. Bickley currently ranks fourth nationally with a goals against average of .49.

Kyle Greig continues to lead the Ravens in goals (13), assists (5), shots (5.3 per game), and shots on goal (2.8 per game). Goalkeeper Mark Saxy is ranked No. 23 in the NAIA with a .91 goals against average.
