BU men take third; women grab fifth at Planet Sub Invite

EMPORIA, Kan. – The Baker University cross country teams had another successful outing this past weekend at Emporia State University.

The Baker men’s squad took third place behind NCAA schools Northwest Missouri State and Fort Hays State University.

Aaron Caldwell led the way yet again for the BU men grabbing 15th overall with a time of 26:11.18 in the men’s 8k race. Corey Clark finished 26th with a time of 26:31.90 and Eric Larson rounded out the top three with a time of 26:46.06, good enough for 34th overall.

Chris Scheideman (26:56.00) and Taylor Nall (27:02.94) rounded out BU’s top five with  38th and 43rd place respective finishes.

As for the Baker women, Lauren Jaqua was stellar yet again finishing fifth overall with a time of 18:32.53 in the women’s 5k race. Ashley McBride finished 19th with a time of 19:08.86, while Kerry Kurta added a solid performance checking in with a time of 19:29.02, good enough for 25th overall.

Lindsey Brown added a 39th place finish with a time of 20:00.94 and Dana Loveland finished 89th with a time of 21:22.12.
