Men improve to 10-0; women upset by CMU

HAAC Opener

FAYETTE, Mo. – The Baker University women’s soccer team got tripped up in its HAAC opener on Sunday afternoon, falling to Central Methodist University, 2-1.

Lindie Adair scored both CMU goals in the ninth and 48th minutes respectively.

Ashley Mauck scored the lone Baker goal in the 64th minute courtesy of a ball from Alix Schiraldi.

The Wildcats (6-2, 0-1 HAAC) outshot the Eagles 20 to 12 overall. BU goalkeeper Maggie Dupes made five saves in the contest.

Baker returns to action next Saturday against Graceland University.

No. 10 Baker men win HAAC opener against Central MethodistOdaine Sinclair

FAYETTE, Mo. – The Baker University men’s soccer team won its conference opener on Sunday afternoon against Central Methodist University, 3-2.

Odaine Sinclair gave the Wildcats an early 2-0 lead with back-to-back goals in the 20th and 23rd minutes.

Andy Griffin added to the tally in the 33rd minute courtesy of a ball from Odaine Sinclair.

Rafael Sabadini added back-to-back goals in the 61st and 65th minute for CMU, but Baker finished strong to take the 3-2 victory.

BU goalkeeper Matt Bickley made seven saves in the contest as the Wildcats improved to a perfect 10-0 on the season.

The Wildcats return to action next Saturday against Graceland University.
