No. 10 Baker men improve to 9-0 on the season

Baker men 9-0

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University men’s soccer team remains undefeated as they defeated Oklahoma Wesleyan University 4-2 on Tuesday evening.

Ethan Bauer put Baker on the scoreboard early with a quick turnaround blast from 30-yards out in the 13th minute.

Andy Griffin added to the tally in the 29th minute when he put a header in off a corner kick from Tom Lowndes and Cameron Zimmerman would add to that tally in the 35th minute to give BU a 3-0 lead at the break.

Ben Rummage gave OWU its first goal of the game in the 79th minute, but Baker quickly responded as Donny George scored on a throw-in from Sean McAlister. OWU got one final goal two minutes later courtesy of Victor Duarte, but it wouldn’t be enough as timed expired with BU controlling the game.

The Wildcats return to action on Oct. 2 against Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo.
