No. 18 Baker men defeat Oklahoma City 1-0

Donny George

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – The Baker men’s soccer team improved to a perfect 6-0 on Saturday afternoon, defeating Oklahoma City University 1-0.

Donny George scored the lone goal just five minutes into the game and Matt Bickley made three saves to record his fourth shutout of the season.

Oklahoma City and Baker each record 14 shots in the contest.

“Oklahoma City presented a great physical and tactical challenge for the team,” said head soccer coach Nate Houser. “We were able to separate ourselves in a very even game with hard work and determination. It was a fantastic finish to a successful weekend.”

The Wildcats return to action Sept. 16 against Oklahoma Baptist at 5:15 p.m. in Baldwin City.
