Men’s soccer improves to 4-0 with victory over Columbia College
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker men continue to ride a wave of 1-0 shutout victories. Saturday afternoon the Wildcats defeated Columbia College 1-0 for their fourth victory of the season.
Steven Stewart scored the game winning goal in the 41st minute when he beat Columbia goalkeeper Matt McKenna on a blast towards the right post.
“That goal really settled us heading into the half,” said head coach Nate Houser. “Our defense did a great job in the second half settling in and dealing with their pressure.”
Wildcat goalkeeper Matt Bickley recorded his third consecutive shutout making three saves in the contest.

Baker will return to action on Sept. 9 when they travel to Siloam Springs, Arkansas to face John Brown University.
