Yetmar officially began her athletic director duties on Jan. 1, 2011, after serving as the university’s associate athletic director since 2009. She was the assistant director of athletics from 2003 to 2009. Yetmar earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Baker in 2002 and Master of Business Administration degree from Baker in 2006.
Other Administrator of the Year honorees for 2011 are Themy Adachi, Mills College; Wendy Taylor May, University of California San Diego; Karen Morrison, NCAA; Carolyn O’Connell, Loyola University Chicago; Susan Delaney-Scheetz, Pennsylvania State University; Carol Howe-Veenstra, College of Saint Benedict; and Donna Woodruff, Stony Brook University. Yetmar and the other honorees will be recognized on Oct. 11 at the Administrator of the Year Dinner at the Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh.
The Administrator of the Year Award, sponsored by Jostens, is presented annually to NACWAA members for significant contributions made as administrators in intercollegiate athletics. Top nominees are awarded from seven categories: NCAA Div. I FBS, FCS, and Division I; NCAA Div. II; NCAA Div. III; NAIA/NJCAA/Community College; and Association/Organization.
