Softball team returns to action on Tuesday evening

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University softball team returns to the diamond on Tuesday evening as it hosts Bethany College (11-13) at 5 p.m. at Cavaness Field.

The Wildcats (7-9) have dropped three of their past four games while the Swedes have won nine of their past 11. Stephanie Tyler leads the Swedes offensively with 23 hits and a .434 average. She also has a 3.01 ERA to lead the squad.

Brooke Allen continues to lead the Wildcats’ offensive attack with a .426 batting average. Maggie Holmberg leads Baker with a 2.29 ERA and 44 strikeouts.

"We hope the weather will hold out for tomorrow's game," said head coach Matt Windle. "We really need to get a couple more games in before we start conference play on Thursday."
