Wommack and Strozier named to men’s basketball all-HAAC squadStrozier and Wommack

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Two Baker University seniors grabbed all-Heart of America Athletic Conference men’s basketball honors on Sunday evening as Jaris Womack (Taylorville, Ill.) was named to the all-HAAC second team while Andre Strozier (Phoenix, Ariz.) received honorable mention.

Wommack led the Wildcats with 16.7 points and 1.7 steals per game. Strozier was the only other Wildcat averaging in double figures with 12.8 points per game.

“I was happy that Jaris made second team all-league,” said head coach Brett Ballard. “I felt like he was the best shooting guard in the league and he carried us offensively on many nights. He was a great leader and his work ethic was terrific. I was also happy for Andre making the honorable mention team. He had some good games for us and really improved as the season went along.
