No. 10 Lindenwood overpowers Baker in 77-50 defeat
ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Baker men’s basketball team gave it all they had on Saturday afternoon against No. 10 Lindenwood University.
Baker shot just 19-for-55 (35 percent) from the field, with Andre Strozier leading the offensive attack scoring a team-high 20 points. Corey Anderson added 11 points, but Lindenwood’s hot shooting stifled the Wildcats. The Lions went 28-for-53 (53 percent) from the field to improve to 20-2 overall on the season.
“We are going to have to shoot the ball incredibly well if we want to come away with an upset,” said head coach Brett Ballard on Friday afternoon. “I’m happy with how hard the guys have been playing.”
Baker (9-13, 5-7 HAAC) committed 15 turnovers and 14 personal fouls in comparison to Lindenwood’s 11 turnovers and eight personal fouls.
The Wildcats return to action on Feb. 3 when they travel to Central Methodist University for a 7:30 p.m., tipoff in Fayette, Mo.
