BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Wildcats are in the midst of a three-game losing streak, but Baker still has aspirations of taking the HAAC title in 2010-11.

Baker fell 54-50 to No. 16 William Woods on Saturday afternoon at the George F. Collins Center.

Senior Aubree Gustin led the team with 12 points and 10 rebounds, her second double double of the season. Audrey Bryant chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds.

Senior Courtney Goodrum tallied her best game of the season recording nine points with three steals and three rebounds.

“I thought Courtney provided our spark on Saturday,” said head coach Susan Decker “We’re gonna need to see more of that heading into conference play.”

Heading into Tuesday’s non-conference clash with Tabor (1-4), Baker continues to get solid offensive play from senior point guard Brittany Hines. Hines is currently averaging 14.6 points per game, while shooting 44 percent from the field.

Seniors Emily Gibson and Aubree Gustin continue to dominate the glass. Gibson is averaging 8.9 rebounds per game, while Gustin averages 8.7.

Tabor’s leading scorer Katlyn Mary is currently averaging 13.6 points per game, while ranking ninth nationally shooting 92 percent from the free throw line.

Tipoff is set for 6 p.m., from the George F. Collins Center.
