11.10.10 | Women's Basketball

Baker women’s basketball falls at Friends University, 67-77Brooke Sanders

WICHITA, Kan. – After starting the season 2-0, the Baker women’s basketball team suffered its first setback of the 2010-11 campaign falling 67-77 to Friends University.

Two players scored in double figures. Senior Emily Gibson led the way with 16 points and 8 rebounds and junior Brooke Sanders (pictured) chipped in with 15 points while shooting 6-for-8 from the floor.

Turnovers were key, as the Wildcats committed 27 turnovers, a season high.

11.10.10 | Men's Basketball

Baker men fall to Friends University, 72-99Coach Ballard

WICHITA, Kan. - After grabbing victories in their opening games, the Baker men's basketball team was outplayed early and was never able to recover. Friends outscored the Wildcats 56-35 in the first half, ultimately putting the ‘Cats in a hole from which they couldn't recover.

Austin Bond led the way for the Wildcats netting 13 points off 5-for-9 shooting from the floor and 3-for-6 from beyond the arc.

Jaris Wommack added 12 points while shooting 4-for-12 from the floor.
