Baker men win HAAC opener, 2-0Bauer

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker men’s soccer team defeated Central Methodist 2-0 on Saturday night to open up HAAC play.

Ethan Bauer (pictured) threaded the defense in the 64th minute to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead from which they never looked back.

Tom Lowndes put the game away late when he received a ball from Nate Byarly in the top of the box giving the Wildcats their second-consecutive victory while improving to 5-2-1 and 1-0 in HAAC play.

Baker will be back in action Sept.  29th when they travel to Avila University for a 7:30 p.m CT showdown.
