Odaine Sinclair

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker men’s soccer team got its biggest win of the season on Saturday afternoon when they defeated No. 15 Westminster, 2-1.

Westminster (7-2) jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when Jace Maxfield scored on a cross from Dennis Sellis in the 21st minute.

Clay Stanger evened the score when he received a ball at point blank range from Nick Ebmeyer just 45 seconds before halftime.

Odaine Sinclair scored the game winner in the 68th minute when he received a cross from Ethan Bauer.

“We got better throughout the weekend and finished on a good note,” said head coach Nate Houser.

The Wildcats will be idle until next Saturday when they open up HAAC play against Central Methodist University at 7:30 p.m. CT.

“After last years tie, the guys are looking to put on a good performance on our home field,” said Houser.
