Following the sweep, the Wildcats improved to 14-22 overall with four doubleheaders remaining in the 2010 season.
In game one, first-year pitcher Heather Gruber was stellar going eight innings while giving up one run on seven hits. The Wildcats scored the game winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning when they rallied to put runners on second and third before St. Mary's threw a wild pitch to seal their fate.
Game two saw a comeback in similar fashion. Katie Worley got things started in the bottom of the sixth when she led-off with a triple that resulted in the the game-winning RBI courtesy of Erin Ford.
The Wildcats will be back in action on Tuesday afternoon when they host Graceland University at 3:00 p.m., from Canvaness Field.

Wildcats announce changes to 2010 spring schedule
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - Due to the re-installment of new field turf at Liston Stadium, the Baker University football team has made changes to its 2010 spring football schedule. Spring practice is slated to begin on April 16, with the first scrimmage on April 22.
The annual Alumni Game and Senior Awards day is scheduled for May 1, with action slated to begin at 1:00 p.m.
April 16- Spring practice begins with walk thru at 3:30 p.m. No Practice Days April 18, 20, 23, 24, 25, and 27 DURING SPRING BALL. Meetings at 6:30-7:10 p.m., Mon. Wed. Thurs. Fri. In-season lifting two times a week during spring practice.
April 22-1st Scrimmage at 4:00 p.m.

Tennis teams suffer rough weekend
MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Baker University tennis teams traveled to Graceland University on Saturday afternoon and finished up the weekend on Sunday at No. 21 Northwest Missouri State.
Both the Baker men and women dropped their conference matches with Graceland University 9-0. The Baker men now stand at 3-4 overall, while the women stand at 2-5. View the men's action at Northwest Missouri State here.
Both teams will be back in action on Tuesday afternoon when they play host to William Jewell College at 4:00 p.m.

Wildcats swept in weekend series with No. 22 Avila
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - The tale of two games Saturday afternoon ended with the same storyline, a heartbreaking seventh-inning loss.
The Baker bullpen surrendered 15 runs in a two-game doubleheader on Saturday afternoon against No. 22 Avila University. Game one saw the Wildcats give up a 10-run seventh, and game two saw a five-run seventh.
Offensively, you couldn't have asked for much more. The Wildcats scored 14 total runs on 20 hits in the two games Saturday afternoon. Dustin Moomau led the way going 4 for- 7 with four RBIs and a homerun. Not to mention he also pitched four innings in game one, giving up one run on three hits.
Things didn't get any better on Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats dropped game one, 3-0 before falling 15-5 in game two. Full stats were not readily available.
