Game 2

Baker jumped out to a commanding 7-0 lead in the nightcap with runs in the first, third, fourth, and fifth innings. Sophomore Nathan Wheelock pitched five scoreless innings, before loading the bases in the sixth to walk a run home.

With the bases loaded, relief pitcher Nick Peterson gave up a grand slam to Spenser Augustine of Ottawa closing the Wildcats lead to within one run at 7-6.

Resiliency was key. Baker pushed across four more runs in the bottom half of the sixth and went on to win its first victory of the 2010 campaign.
