Ottawa jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning of game one and ultimately started what would be an offensive explosion for both teams.
Baker closed the gap to within one run in the fifth inning, but Ottawa took control of the game in the sixth, scoring six runs to push its lead to 13-7.

Baker jumped out to a commanding 7-0 lead in the nightcap with runs in the first, third, fourth, and fifth innings. Sophomore Nathan Wheelock pitched five scoreless innings, before loading the bases in the sixth to walk a run home.
With the bases loaded, relief pitcher Nick Peterson gave up a grand slam to Spenser Augustine of Ottawa closing the Wildcats lead to within one run at 7-6.
Resiliency was key. Baker pushed across four more runs in the bottom half of the sixth and went on to win its first victory of the 2010 campaign.
