Spirit squad announces HAAC showcase event
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - The Baker University spirit squad is pleased to announce that it will be holding an exhibition featuring a small dance routine and hip hop routine on Wednesday, Feb.11. Come out and support the dance team before they compete at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Spirit Squad Competition. The Heart of America Athletic Conference is proudly the only conference in the NAIA that supports such a competition.

Wildcats close out season at McKendree Baker Challenge
FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. - The Baker University women’s bowling team placed 18th at the weekend McKendree Baker Challenge.
At the team event, the Wildcats had a total pinfall of 5,185.
The event was the final competition for the Wildcats in 2009-2010, the inaugual year for bowling at Baker.

Wildcats take third in Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. – The Baker men’s track and field team took third place this past weekend at the Nebraska Wesleyan University Triangular with an overall score of 73.
Freshman Reggie Harris highlighted the weekend’s events with a first-place finish in the long jump (6.62 meters) and a second-place finish in the 55 meter (6.47 seconds).
Senior Brian Korn (pictured) also led the Wildcats with a second-place finish in the shot put and a third-place finish in the weight throw. Korn threw distances of 15.27 meters and 16.53 meters, respectively.
The Wildcats also earned points from Tanner Gleason and Bradley Walker’s efforts in the 200 meter. Gleason clocked in at 24.02 for a fourth-place finish, and Walker’s time of 24.17 was good enough for fifth place.
Baker returns to competition this Friday at the Pittsburg State Invitational.
The Baker women's indoor track and field team took third place this past weekend at the Nebraska Wesleyan Triangular with a team score of 75 points.
Senior Kayla Irwin led the Baker women with a second-place finish in the women's pole vault at 3.15 meters. Freshman Helena Davis also finished near the top in the women's triple jump with a mark of 10.20 meters to place third.
The Wildcats will be back in action Friday, Feb. 12, when they travel to Pittsburg State.
