BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - The Baker women's basketball team posted its sixth-straight conference victory Saturday, downing Missouri Valley 73-53.

The Wildcats (10-6, 6-0) were led by junior Emily Gibson (pictured), who recorded her eighth double-double of the season with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Teammate Brooke Soske chipped in with eight points and two rebounds.

"I'm really happy with how our team executed our game plan," said Baker head coach Susan Decker.

The Wildcats shot 40 percent from the field compared to Missouri Valley's 37 percent. Baker went 79 percent from the free-throw line, and 10 Wildcats recorded at least two points in the victory.

Baker led by 18 points heading into the half and never looked back. At one point the Wildcats had an 18-3 advantage with 12:53 to play in the first half.

Baker will be back in action Thursday evening when they travel to MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kan.
