Baker women travel to Tabor College to participate in holiday classicEmily Gibson

HILLSBORO, Kan. - The last time the Baker women's basketball team took the floor was way back on Dec. 12, when the Wildcats were defeated 54-72 by No. 23 William Woods University.

The Wildcats (6-5, 3-0) continue to get stellar play from junior Emily Gibson (pictured), who averages 13.8 points to go along with 9.4 rebounds per game.

The Tabor Bluejays (3-8, 2-2) will come into Friday's contest riding a two-game winning streak with victories over McPherson and Ottawa early in December.

The Bluejays are led by freshman Tynan Honn, who averages 12.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.

Baker men travel to Bethel to participate in holiday classic

NEWTON, Kan. - The Baker men's basketball team will be back in action for the first time since Dec. 5. The Wildcats (6-5, 0-3) are led by senior Malcolm Greer, who averages 13.5 points per game. Andre Strozier is the Wildcats leading rebounder, collecting 8.5 rebounds per game. Strozier also averages 13.4 points per game and has recorded four double-doubles on the season.

On Friday the ’Cats face Friends University (7-5, 0-0) at 5 p.m. The Falcons are led by junior Chris Jackson, who averages 18.5 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.

Friends defeated Baker 73-60 on Nov. 10. Malcolm Greer led the scoring attack for the Wildcats with 17 points. Friends was led by Chris Jackson, who also scored 17 points.
