No. 8 Baker takes down Southern Nazarene to stay undefeatedBaker Wins

The Baker men’s soccer team continues to dazzle early on in their 2009 campaign. On Saturday afternoon the men traveled to Olathe, KS to play a neutral site game against Southern Nazarene University.

The squad rose to the challenge yet again earning a 2-1 victory in overtime to remain undefeated on the season.

10 minutes into the 2nd half Kome Okiomah scored the first goal of the game giving Baker the 1-0 lead. Southern Nazarene quickly responded 10 minutes later when they tied the game up 1-1.

With time ticking away in overtime, Odaine Sinclair challenged a bouncing ball at the top of SNU’s box and got the ball to Ethan Bauer for the open net goal to capture the 2-1 victory.

Baker will be back in action next weekend when they take on Oklahoma Christian University.
