Wildcat Spotlight

Our Baker athletes have experienced tremendous amounts of success both on and off the playing field. Wildcat Spotlight is designed to showcase how our Wildcats are pursuing excellence in all aspects of life.

Baker CvCMen's and Women's Basketball

The Baker Wildcats played host to Avila University on Thursday the 24th. During this game they took part in the Coaches versus Cancer fundraiser. To raise awareness both coaches from the Baker and Avila basketball teams wore sneakers during the game. In between games there was an on court presentation where each member of both teams participated in showing their support in the fight against cancer by donating a dollar. Also during this time members from the Cheer squad and Dance teams collected donations from the crowd. A total amount of $364.08 was raised and donated to the American Cancer Society.

Director of Athletics, Theresa Yetmar was quoted as saying "I'm very grateful to alums Andrew Patch and Jen Letner and university painter Jay VonBargen for lending their talent to this project. They all dedicated time during the holiday break to complete the work before our student athletes returned to campus. It was truly a team effort." All Baker athletes, fans, and alumni can now take even more pride in Collins gym.
