No. 16 Wildcats escape past John Brown 4-3
SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – The Baker women’s soccer team jumped out to an early lead on Friday afternoon thanks to Alexa Fryer’s two early goals.
The Wildcats held JBU scoreless and allowed just three shots until the final eight seconds of the first half when Adrienne Kennedy scored a key goal heading into the break.

Baker goes 2-0 in day one of Wildcat Invitational
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker volleyball team got off to a hot start at the 2011 Baker Invitational as they defeated Midland University 3-0 in the afternoon and Oklahoma City University 3-0 in the nightcap.
Sydney Pemberton led the ‘Cats against Midland recording 8 kills, while Jana Boss chipped in with 20 assists. Libero Brooke Allen had nine digs.
Christina Delladio and Jana Boss led Baker offensively in the nightcap, each recording 7 kills. Jana Boss added 20 helpers.

No. 18 Baker men defeat Oklahoma City 1-0
SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – The Baker men’s soccer team improved to a perfect 6-0 on Saturday afternoon, defeating Oklahoma City University 1-0.
Donny George scored the lone goal just five minutes into the game and Matt Bickley made three saves to record his fourth shutout of the season.
Oklahoma City and Baker each record 14 shots in the contest.

Wildcats upset Evangel 3-2 on the road
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Head coach Kathy Allen knew her team would learn some lessons from the stiff competition they faced earlier in the season – Tuesday evening it paid off.
Baker (7-7, 2-0 HAAC) defeated Evangel (11-2, 0-1 HAAC) giving them just their second overall loss of the season and first conference defeat.
Juniors Savannah Smith and Jana Boss led the way offensively recording 15 kills and 29 assists respectively. Defensively senior Christina Delladio added four blocks and senior Brooke Allen chipped in with 13 digs.

Baker volleyball upsets NCAA DII Southwest Baptist University
BOLIVAR, Mo. – After defeating Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) rival Evangel University 3-2 on Tuesday night, the Baker women’s volleyball came back and did it again on Wednesday afternoon against Southwest Baptist University 3-1.
Three players led the way offensively for the Wildcats as Savannah Smith tallied a team high 14 kills, while Jana Boss and Christina Delladio each added 13.
Libero Brooke Allen and setter Jana Boss recorded season-highs in the contest with 34 digs and 36 assists respectively.

Wildcats face tough non-conference test against Oklahoma Baptist
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker men’s and women’s soccer teams will have their hands full when they welcome Oklahoma Baptist University to Baldwin City on Friday afternoon.
The Baker women climbed two spots to No. 14 in the second edition of the 2011 NAIA Women’s Coaches’ Top 25 poll, released on Tuesday afternoon. Senior Alix Schiraldi continues to lead the offense with three goals on the season. Freshman goalkeeper Rachel Theobald has been steady in goal averaging 2.33 saves per contest, while posting a 1.54 goals against average.

Schiraldi’s early goals lift No. 14 Baker past Oklahoma Baptist
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Senior Alix Schiraldi scored two early goals as the Baker women’s soccer team cruised to victory over Oklahoma Baptist University 4-1 on Friday afternoon.
Courtney Anderson scored the lone goal for OBU in the 26th minute, but Jordan Dolbin and Kayla Infante answered with goals for the Wildcats in the 56th and 83rd minute respectively.
Baker goalkeeper Rachel Theobald made three saves in the contest.
