This is Daniel O’Connell's first year at Baker University assisting the athletic training staff. Prior to joining the Wildcats, he was a graduate assistant at Emporia State University and worked primarily with the women's basketball team while earning his masters degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.

Prior to Emporia State, O'Connell spent two years as a student assistant at Johnson County Community College, before transferring to Emporia State University where he completed his bachelors degree in athletic training in 2010. 

O'Connell was born in Lawrence Kansas and graduated from Lawrence High School in 2005. In his spare time, he enjoys working out and playing golf.
