Karen Exon coaches both the men's and women's golf teams. She took over the head coaching position for the men in 2005 and has served as the women's golf coach since helping to start the program in 1998.

Exon quickly built the women's team into a Heart of America Athletic Conference power with a third-place finish in 1999 with her first full team.

Exon's players have made All-American four times and Academic All-American three times. Exon is also chair of the History and Political Science Department.
