The Wildcats have been a constant threat to win the Heart of America Athletic Conference and Midwest Region championships since head coach Ron Pulvers took over in 1996. Baker has been in the Top 25 each year, won four conference championships (1996, 1998, 2000 and 2002), three conference tournament championships (1997, 1998, 2002), and advanced to the region final five teams. In his seven years, Pulvers has coached five conference players of the year, 12 All-Americans and 10 All-American Scholar-Athletes.
