2002 Men's Soccer Coaches

Ron Pulvers is in his sixth year as Baker's head men's soccer coach, and led the 'Cats into the Top 25 each of his first five years. He has led Baker to three Heart of America Athletic Conference Championships ('96, '98, and '00) and two conference tournament championships ('97 and '98). Baker has reached the Midwest Final three times during Pulvers' tenure.
Before coaching at Baker, Pulvers was an assistant coach at Midwestern State University for three years. The Indians were the National Championship runner-up in 1995. Pulvers holds a USSF "A" license and a NSCAA Advanced Diploma. He has been named Conference Coach of the Year twice and has coached four conference Players of the Year, nine All-Americans and eight Academic All-Americans. Pulvers holds a bachelor of arts in Kinesiology from Westmont College and Master of Science in Kinesiology from Midwestern State University.
Jason Hooper is in his seventh year at Baker. He played collegiately at Baker in '91 and '92 after transferring from Orange Coast Community College in California. Hooper was a two-time All-South Conference Selection at Orange Coast and a two-time All-District player at Baker. He holds a bachelor of arts in Psychology from Baker and a Master of Social Work from the University of Kansas.
