Standout

Weir wasted no time to qualify for nationals. The sophomore multi-event athlete ran an 8.05 in the 55-meter hurdles at the Doane Pentathlon Jan. 24 to reach the NAIA's provisional qualifier mark. Six days later, Weir ran an 8.01 to place second at the Nebraska Wesleyan Quadrangular Jan. 31. The 3,093 points Weir scored at Doane placed him seventh in the nation.
