Jennifer Wright enters her first year with the Wildcats. She
attended Highland Community College out of high school where she
was a three sport athlete in volleyball, basketball, and softball.
Wright transferred to Ottawa University and participated in basketball
and softball before graduating in 1996. She was named First Team
All-Conference her senior year as a catcher on Ottawa's inagural
team.
In 2000, Wright received her Master's of Science in Education,
majoring in Sports Administration from the University of Kansas.
Soon after receiving her Master's, she obtained a job at Benedictine
College where she was named Sports Information Director, Assistant
Women's Basketball coach, and Assistant Women's Softball coach.
Prior to Baker, she spent two years at the high school level coaching
volleyball and basketball.
Wright has experience in athletic training and personal training
and plans to use all her skills in exercise, athletics, and administration
to develop a successful program at Baker.
Assistant Coach Christy Reichard will help Wright this Spring.
Reichard is a graduate of Emporia State University where she received
a nursing degree. She is a registered nurse at Olathe Medical
Center. She and her husband reside in Baldwin City.
