Lisher's competive spirit is apparent in her choice
of favorite quote: "I hate to lose more than I like to win."
She was a three-sport athlete for all four years at Free State
High School as a basketball player and an All-Kansas javelin thrower

she said.

Junior,
outside hitter from Topeka, Kan.
Glenn
is a crowd favorite with her punishing spike and jump-serve. She

Conference selection as a sophomore when she led an experienced
and talented team in kills. Glenn is expected to be the Wildcats'
front-line leader in 2003.

to the court and was our leading kill producer last season. We are
expecting her to be our 'go to' player this year." |
|
 |
#9 Meredith Ann Horne
Sophomore,
setter from Kansas City, Mo.
Many
freshman would have been overwhelmed in the situation Horne found
herself in last season. On a team featuring five All-Conference
selections and three seniors, she was expected to replace an All-American
setter. Horne stepped up to the challenge, though, and established
herself as a setter who connected well with her team and could
also attack. In high school, she was a Kansas City Star Scholar-Athlete
and nominated for Christian Student-Athlete of the Year.

attacking skills, and had the highest attack efficiency rating on
the team." |

#12 Courtney Delane Horne
Freshman,
middle hitter/outside hitter from Lee's Summit, Mo.
Horne
is already stepping out of her older sister's shadow. While Meredith
Horne, one year her elder, quickly established herself as the
Wildcats' premier setter in 2002, Courtney is likely to distinguish
herself as a "tremendous blocker" with her explosiveness
and leaping ability according to head coach Kathy Allen. Horne
was on Lee's Summit High School's Principal Honor Roll and Citizenship
Honor Roll for four years and was Academic All-State for two years.
