Susan Decker
took over as head coach of the Baker women's basketball program before the 2000-01 season. A graduate of Tabor College in 1992, Decker earned many honors including NAIA first team All-American status, three-time District 10 Player of the Year, a two-time KCAC Player of the Year and KCAC Player of the Year during her freshman season. She also helped her team to two undefeated conference championships and led the Bluejays to the national tournament.

Prior to coming to Baker, Decker was the top assistant coach at Washburn University where she gained experience and knowledge from a traditionally strong program. Decker started her college coaching career as a graduate assistant at Emporia State University where she graduated with a Masters degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.

Pat Schlaak has been Decker's assistant coach for her entire tenure. Schlaak has learned the value of hard work and teamwork from one of the top basketball programs in the country. Under Coach Roy Williams, Schlaak was a member of the JV program at the University of Kansas in the early 90Ős and later went on to a short playing career in the Continental Basketball Association.

Currently Schlaak enjoys coaching and teaching young athletes about basketball as well as important values that will make one successful in life. Participating in various basketball camps throughout the country allow these lessons to be passed on. Presently, Schlaak is a communication consultant and has owned the business for three years. With the knowledge and love for the game, he will help make this program a success.
