Baker University’s men’s golfers placed second at the Baker Spring Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Alvamar Golf Course in Lawrence.
Senior Dave Tregemba, who tied for third with a 54-hole total of 233 strokes, led the Baker men, who finished with 965 strokes. He carded three rounds in the 70s and was named to the all-tournament team. Other Baker scores were sophomore PJ Matulka (241), freshman David Drummond (246), junior Michael Kahler (247) and sophomore Tanner Christenson (257).
Missouri Valley won the men’s tournament with 953 strokes.
The men will prepare for the HAAC conference championship with a practice round on April 19 at Indian Foot Hills Golf Course in Marshall, Mo. The HAAC tournament will be played on that course on April 26-27.
