Karen Exon took over the head coaching position for the men's golf team in 2005 after serving as the women's golf coach at Baker University since she helped start up the program in 1998. She quickly built the women's team into a Heart of America Athletic Conference power with a third-place finish in 1999 with her first full team. In seven years as head coach, Exon's players have made All-American four times and Academic All-American three times. Exon is also chair of the History and Political Science department.
