HEAD COACH Rick Walsh

Rick Walsh is entering his first year as the Head Coach for both the men and women tennis teams.  Rick is a graduate of Baker University, playing tennis for the school from 1984-1988.  Rick was a conference and district champion for Baker during his senior campaign in 1988 and was voted the most improved player by past coach Jim Irick.

After graduating from Baker University in 1988, Rick has spent the past 20 years in the insurance industry in the greater Kansas City area.  Rick continued his education and earned his Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) in 1997.  He plans to teach and coach at the university in the years to come.

Rick has continued his love of the sport by competing in tennis tournaments all across the United States.  He has been continually ranked both nationally and locally including several number 1 rankings within the Missouri Valley Tennis Association.

ASSISTANT COACH Bruce Anderson

Bruce Anderson is Assistant Coach for the Wildcats, and is at the start of his second year as an Associate Professor of Political Science at Baker University. Anderson came to Baker from Sewanee, the University of the South in 2004, and has been both an Assistant and Head coach for both men's and women's tennis in the NAIA.

STUDENT ASSISTANT John Richey

John Richey enters his first year as part of the Wildcat Coaching Staff. Richey was a successful player for the Baker Wildcats for the past two years where he excelled at #1 doubles and #4 singles. Richey is a Biology major and plans to graduate in May 2006.
