March 10 | Individuals fall short of expectations at nationals
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - The Wildcats top athlete, Brent Randle, failed to become an NAIA Indoor Track and Field All-American, after finishing 17th in the triple jump.
Randle fouled twice and jumped 14.01 meters on his second jump. Randle entered the event with the third longest jump on the performance list.
Randle also competed in the long jump, fouling on his first two jumps and deciding to pass on his third and final jump. In previous events this season, five jumps were given, as opposed to three at the national championship.
Sophomore Richie Bryant placed 30th in the men's 60-meter dash. He failed to qualify for the semifinals. For full results click here and scroll along the right side for each event.
The Outdoor Track and Field season begins March 17 at the Point Loma Nazarene Open in San Diego, Calif.
