Baker Volleyball 2008 Signees

Kassie Miskho- Liberty High School, Colorado Springs, CO

The 5’10” setter from Colorado Springs has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball for Baker University this fall.  Miskho was a 4 year starter for Liberty High School and also plays with Pikes Peak Volleyball Club in Colorado Springs.  Mishko was named first team all-metro league her senior year, and was also named to the second team Class 4A All-State team.  Mishko plans to major in Secondary education at Baker.

Rachael Solis- Seaman High School, Topeka, KS

The 6’0 senior Rachael Solis has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Baker University.  Solis was named first team All-Centennial League and also received 5A’s 2nd Team All State honors, while leading her team to the Kansas Class 5A State tournament.  She is expected to make a quick impact on the Wildcat volleyball squad in the 2008 season.

Jamie StarlingGardner-Edgerton High School, Gardner, KS

5’7” outside hitter Jamie Starling has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Baker University for the 2008 academic year.  Starling has been a 4 year starter for Gardner’s program.  Starling was named First Team Class 5A All-State, and was a unanimous selection for first team All-league.  Starling has also been an honor roll student all four years of high school.

Brooke AllenShawnee Heights High School, Topeka, KS

5’5” libero and defensive specialist Brooke Allen has signed a letter of intent to play both volleyball and softball at Baker University next fall.  Allen was a first team All –League, All-City and Honorable Mention Class 5A All-State selection her senior year in volleyball.  She also garnered the same honors in softball as a junior.  Allen joins her sister, Jayde Allen on both Wildcat squads.

Lauren Torrez Shawnee Heights High School, Topeka, KS

5’11 middle hitter, Lauren Torrez has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Baker University next fall.  Torrez has been a key contributor in the middle for the T-Birds for the past three years and was named an All-league and 2nd team All-City selection her senior year.
