Baker University
Welcome, Women's Cross Country Recruits

2003-04 Season

Thank you for taking the time to view our program; a program that I feel privileged and honored to be association with.  Since taking over in the fall of 2000, the Baker University Womenıs Cross Country Wildcats has amassed an impressive record both on and off the cross country course.  Winning the tough Heart of America Athletic Conference three of the last four years and qualifying as a team, in 2000 and again in 2002, to represent Region V at the NAIA Cross Country National Championships.

Along with our success on the course, culminating with All-American honors in 2001 and then again in 2002, the Lady Wildcats have been honored as All-American Scholar athletes a total of five times since 2000; the latest coming during the 2003 season.  On the team side the Lady Wildcats have been honored as a NAIA All-Scholar team twice since 2000 - with a team grade point average of 3.50 on both occasions.

At Baker University, womenıs cross country is more than just running, it is a balance between high academics and personal athletic excellence whilst enjoying the finest cross country experience a small college has to offer.  We continually challenge ourselves, regularly attending the biggest and most prestigious meets in the Midwest, such as the Woody Greeno Nebraska Invitational, the Cowboy Jamboree and the Chile Pepper Festival, which ultimately allows the Lady Wildcats to perform at the highest level.

The Lady Wildcats are fortunate to have their our own home facility which annually hosts collegiate invitationals, whilst being selected as the host site for the 2003 HAAC Championships, the 2001 NAIA Region V Championships and the 2000 NAIA Mid-State Championships.  With such a fine facility and the natural beauty of the surrounding rural setting of Baldwin City, Baker University and the Womenıs Cross Country program will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark on your life please come and join us as we look forward to the 2004 season.
