NUNO DRAFTED BY THE CLEVELAND INDIANS IN ROUND 48
Baldwin City, Ks. - In the third and final day of the Major League amateur draft LHP Vidal Nuno was drafted into the Cleveland Indians minor league system. Over the past two seasons at Baker University Nuno compiled 15 wins with an ERA of 1.98. In 2008 Nuno was named HAAC Pitcher of the Year. 2009 BASEBALL COMES UP JUST SHORT OF HAAC PLAYOFF BERTH
Baker Baseball had what some would consider a very promising season looking forward into 2010. Baker finished off the 2009 campaign holding a 21-29 record after dropping some tough games late in the season. Baker made a late surge on the final day of the season sweeping the Avila Eagles, only to come up just short of qualifying for the HAAC Playoffs. Below are the final 2009 Baseball standings.
