Baker announces baseball signings
Baldwin City, Kan. — Baker baseball coach Phil Hannon has announced the signing of a junior college player, Travis McCleary, and two high school players, Josh Reed and Matt VanderLinden.

McCleary, a graduate of Mountain Empire High School in Pine Valley, Calif., played junior college baseball at Southwestern Junior College in San Diego. He will play shortstop for Baker.

Reed, a Plano (Texas) East High School graduate, will play second base and shortstop for the Wildcats.

VanderLinden, an all-Class 3A state performer from Burlington High School, will play outfield, first base and third base for Baker. He also will play tight end for Baker’s football team.
