Who has brought honor to the University through his contribution as Baker University Athlete
October 13, 1979
- Lettered in football, basketball, track
- set the conference record in the shot put and discus
- 1930-31 Baker Wildcat Stated, “Kermit could always be counted on for ten points in the shot and discus.”
- For the greater part of the 1930 season, led the nation in scoring, ending up with 135 points
- best punter in Baker history — many times kicking the ball end zone to end zone
- captain of the 1930 team
- elected captain of the All-Conference Team
- elected to the All-State, All-Missouri Valley, Al-Kappa Sigma, and was an honorable mention selection to the Kunte Rockne and The Associated Press All-American Teams, 1930; selected to play in the Shriner’s East-West All-Star Game, 1931;
- Played professional football with teams in the San Francisco Bay Area.
