Nov. 7 | Second half drives Wildcats to win
On the road for the first time this season, the Wildcats were able to recreate their success shooting from behind the arc from the first game of the season for a 87-71 over the University of St. Mary.
Unlike the first game, where the Wildcats hit seven of their nine three-pointers, Baker continued to score from the outside with senior Greg Allen leading the way again.
Allen scored 22 points -- hitting five of seven from outside -- for the second time this season. Senior center Marc Roberts dominated inside, scoring all of his sixteen points down low. He also lead the Wildcats in rebounds with six.
D.J. Watkins also lit up the scoreboard from outside. Watkins scored 14 points, including three three-pointers, contributing to the Wildcats 60 percent night from outside.
The Wildcats down the stretch sealed their second win of the season, hitting 16 of 20 free throw shots in the second half. Baker finished the night a shade under 60 percent from the floor for the game.
St. Mary were lead by Tremaine Dalton and Steven Morgan, who scored 34 and 24 points respectively.
The Wildcats travel to the McPherson Classic over the weekend. Visit the schedule page for upcoming games.
