Men Take 3rd Place at Williams Woods

The Baker University Men’s golf Team competed in the William Woods Fall Invitational at Tanglewood GC on Monday and Tuesday, October 1-2 in a 36-hole event.  The Baker University Varsity Team finished 3rd behind host school William Woods 287 – 284 – 571 and Missouri Baptist University 294 – 293 – 587.The

Both men and women golf teams play next at the Southwestern College tournament at Winfield CC in Winfield, KS next Monday and Tuesday, October 8-9.

 

Men Take 1st Place in Fall Opener

Men’s Golf participated last weekend in the first fall intercollegiate tournament, a rare one-day 18-hole event hosted by Graceland University at the Lamoni (IA) Golf and Country Club.  Attached are the results.Baker University traveled a 5-man varsity squad, a 5-man JV squad and 3 men as individual medalists.  Competing in the tournament as well were 5 teams from Missouri Valley, two teams from Simpson (IA), and one team each from Graceland University and William Jewell College in this 11 team and 5 medalists tournament.The Baker University Varsity squad won this tournament with a team score of 303.  Senior Michael Kahler and sophomore Gavin Tatrn tied with a Graceland University golfer for 2nd place individually.  The Baker University JV squad finished 8th.

The Baker University men compete next Tuesday, September 18th against Kansas City Kansas Community College at Alvamar Golf Course in Lawrence, Kansas.  That one-day 18-hole tournament will begin at 3:30pm.

'Cats Place Third at Evangel
