Lady Cats will face off against MidAmerica Nazarene Thursday night to begin their HAAC Playoff run

Starting Thursday evening, the Lady Cats will look to begin their run for the conference title as they face MidAmerica Nazarene. In their two previous meetings, the Wildcats have fallen victim to the Pioneers 71-61 (12/6/07) and 68-57 (1/31/08). To view the full bracket click here. Lady Wildcats Outlook

The 2007-08 Baker University women’s basketball team is filled with a lot of new faces as well as some familiar ones.  After a disappointing season a year ago, the Wildcats are hungry to get back into the upper mix of the conference.  With the recruitment of 8 new players, 6 of which are freshman, Coach Decker is looking to fill some very important spots that are wide open this season. The NAIA and JumpTV Partner to Bring the 2008 NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball National Championship to the Web

 KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced today a partnership with JumpTV to stream exclusive live video and audio of the 2008 NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball National Championship. JumpTV is a leading Internet broadcaster of sports and international television over the Internet. In its mission to connect fans to their favorite teams, athletes and colleges, JumpTV specializes in bringing NAIA championship events to fans regardless of location.

“We are excited to be teaming up with JumpTV for the third year to broadcast live coverage of the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball Tournament. This service provides a wonderful platform to showcase the top teams to fans anywhere in the world,” said Mike Campbell, NAIA Vice President for Marketing and Corporate Partnerships. “This is a fantastic opportunity to build the NAIA brand not only for the association but for tournament hosts, member institutions and student-athletes.”

Live coverage of the tournament begins March 12, and will include all games through March 17. The national championship game will be televised on CSTV and available through www.cstv.com.

“We are proud of our relationship with the NAIA and are excited about the opportunity to bring this tournament to NAIA basketball fans,” said Nada Usina, President of JumpTV. “Our platform and marketing efforts will allow us to extend the reach of these games to American basketball fans located in international markets.”

Three different subscription plans will be available for tournament coverage. Users may purchase the All-NAIA pass, which includes every NAIA basketball tournament game (men’s and women’s, Division I and II) offered on JumpTV for $39.95. The NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball Tournament may be purchased separately for $24.95 and any single game may be purchased for $7.95. Fans may purchase a subscription plan by visiting www.watchnaia.com.

The NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball bracket will be released on March 5, 2008. Fans may find more information on the NAIA tournaments and schedules by visiting www.naia.org.
