Jan. 27 | Baker snaps six-game skid
FAYETTE, MO. - The Wildcats broke out of a season-long six game losing streak, and picked up their second conference win, defeating Central Methodist University, 57-54.
Baker jumped out a first-half lead of 13 points, but the Eagles chipped away and missed a three-point attempt to tie the game at the buzzer.
Starters carried the load for the Wildcats, scoring all but six points. Senior Amanda Yates led Baker with 15 points, junior Allie Heinen recorded a 11-point 12-rebound night, and senior Molly Ediger finished with 14.
The win is the second of the season over Central Methodist, and the team's eighth overall win.
The Wildcats complete their three-game road trip at Evangel, on Monday. The game was originally scheduled for Jan. 11. Baker returns home to face Graceland University on Feb. 1. Visit the schedule page for more upcoming games.
