Nov. 10 | Yates powers Cats back to winning ways
After having one of her worst games in a Wildcats' uniform, Amanda Yates scored 23 to lead the Wildcats over Park University 68-59.
In a 75-48 loss to Sterling College, Yates hit just two of 14 shots. Tonight she responded hitting six of nine shots, and 11 from the free-throw line. She also had eight rebounds to finish out the night.
The first half proved critical for the Wildcats who built a nine point lead that would hold up until the final buzzer. At the half, the Wildcats led the Pirates 41-32.
Baker's win came off the heels of a crushing loss to the Lady Spartans who held Baker under 25 percent shooting on the game. Against the Pirates the Wildcats hit 47 percent from the floor and buried five three-pointers.
Senior guard Molly Ediger had 11 points, including three shots behind the arc. Junior Allie Heinen led the team with 11 rebounds.
